Upon initial inspection the two diamonds are very brilliant. Under 30x notification we can see an oval shapes inclusion, a cloud, in one and a thick horizontal line in the other. Both of these inclusions are not noticeable without instrumentation. I guess why they are VS2s. Pics to come.

This amazing stone provides lots of bang for the buck. Its a [E,1.00,J,VVS2]. It has the coveted triple EX (cut, polish, symmetry). The color being J is not as bad as you might think it is. Js appear colorless to the naked eye and if this is for an engagement ring, it will be good enough. The VVS2 clarity guarantees eye-cleanliness and beyond so it will look like an IF (internally flawless) stone to the naked eye. Except the IF costs more because of the bragging rights of the IF. Light performance on this one is also very good as the angles and measurements are very close to ideal. If you are on a limited budget and still want something nice for your proposal, do not hesitate to get this one. Look closely at the inclusions diagram and you can tell that its practically flawless.

We have successfully picked out two new diamonds from a virtual inventory and submitted them to my jeweler. She was able to get them for me and surprisingly they are both from the same cutter. I picked them out by the GIA cert numbers. They are [E,0.78,J,VS2] and [E,0.79,J,VS2]. Their dimensions are practically identical with a 5.98mm diameter so they will be quite big. Hopefully big enough, so we don't have to return them this time

From the face of the diamonds the eight arrows are clearly visible.

As for the ASETs, they prove to be excellent too. Keep in mind that red is good and green is not but every diamond will have some green so don't sweat it unless its a large amount. Aslo, by definition, VS2 will be eye clean and inclusions will only be visible under some form of magnification.

My stud finally arrived earlier this week. It is [E,0.50,J,SI1]. This one is rated AGS 0 on cut, clarity, symmetry, and polish. The craftsmanship of the setting is absolutely amazing and since its a martini design, it can press a little closer into your ear lobe to give it a much more flush look as it sits closer to the ear. The diamond is a little bigger than I expected. Altough the dimensions are right on par, it must be the bulkier setting thats giving it the illusion. An original concern was that the color J might be a little too yellowish but when placed next to a color F, the difference is barely noticeable to the naked eye if there is any.

Unless you have other diamond jewelry on your body, color J would be a good color to go with as its near colorless and has the lowest price tag. Anything less than a J will start to look yellowish. As for clarity, make sures its at least SI2 and ask to make sure its eye clean. IF you have the money, get VS2 because by definition, it will be eye clean, without visible inclusions from all angles to the naked eye.

My fiancee stumbled across this production company in Australia that captures wedding day and prewedding day memories in cinematic forms like music videos or short movies.
Anybody know where I can find a company to do this in NYC?
